Former Zimbabwe captain Tatenda Taibu and former Australian high performance coach Andy Cottam are set to take over as cricket coaches of Bangladesh Institute of Sports Education (BKSP). BKSP have already signed an informal agreement with Taibu. However, after coming to Bangladesh, the former Zimbabwe captain will have formal contract, while Cottam’s matter is still on discussion.

Taibu made his international debut in 2001, Taibu took over as Zimbabwe's Test captain in 2004 at the age of just 20. Which was the record for the youngest Test captain until 2019. Rashid Khan broke this record by captaining Afghanistan against Bangladesh in 2019.

Taibu is currently unable to come to Bangladesh for visa purpose. However, the former wicketkeeper is hopeful that he will set foot in Bangladesh within this week. Taibu has confirmed to Cricfrenzy that the contract with BKSP has been completed.
