Eight Bangladeshi cricketers included in top categories of PSL players' draft

Lanka Premier League's (LPL) franchise Dambulla Thunders have roped in Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman as their icon cricketer as Dambulla’s social media handle posted the development.
After the T20 World Cup, the upcoming season will hit the field, which is scheduled to begin from July 1. However, the auction date will be announced later.
The franchise wrote, “Dambulla Thunders proudly unveils Mustafizur Rahman as our overseas icon player. Brace for electrifying pace and unstoppable passion! Get ready to rumble, Thunders fans!”
Recently, there has been a change in ownership for Dambulla. The Bangladeshi establishment, Imperial Sports Group, has taken ownership of this franchise.
Regarding the auction for the upcoming LPL season, more than 500 cricket players from 24 countries have registered.
Sri Lanka Cricket has revealed the names of several star cricketers, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Taskin Ahmed are from Bangladesh.
