Former Bangladesh captain Naimur Rahman Durjoy has been re-elected as the President of the Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh.
CWAB held their AGM today with the national team cricketers and officials of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Debabrata Paul was also re-elected as the general secretary for the next four years.
“Our work will remain the same. But we will add a new addition to it. We have raised some requests and demands toward the honourable board president. Which are related to the interests of the cricketers. We aim to implement them,” said Durjoy during the meeting.

BCB President Nazmul Hossain Papon has urged the cricket fraternity to give them enough amount of time for the welfare of the organization,
“A lot of time is required in all these places. These organizations are difficult to run if time is not given. So I would say that those who are there should give them enough time,” said Papon.
Meanwhile, CWAB has also decided to include women cricketers in the organisation. Henceforth women cricketers will get all the same facilities as CWAB members like male cricketers.
The AGM and the Council were attended by several women cricketers including the captain of the women's team Nigar Sultana Jyoti, veteran Salma Khatun and many more.
