Tamim doubtful for Ireland Test

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal is doubtful for the one-off Test against Ireland due to a family Issue, said BCB Chairman of Cricket Operations Committee Jalal Yunus on Monday.
“Tamim Iqbal's son is very sick. He is busy with him. We are not sure if he will play at the last minute. But we hope he will play.” Jalal told to media.

Tamim played his last Test in 2022 in the West Indies and then he missed the previous series against India due to groin injury.

After recovering from injury, the left-handed opener played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), England and Ireland series at home.
Earlier, the Tigers faced another blow after pacer Taskin Ahmed was ruled out for the Test after sustaining a grade 2 side strain. Pacer Rejaur Rahman Raja was named as his replacement.
