Fortune Barishal head coach Nazmul Abedin Fahim lauded Shakib al Hasan for his recent performance in BPL and stated that the all-rounder is going through his best form in his career.
Shakib has scored 275 runs in six innings with three half-centuries with a strike rate of 196.4 in the ongoing BPL. He also attained his best T20 score of 89 runs in the match against Rangpur Riders.
“Shakib is very smart. He is always looking forward to how he can improve. I think he's at the peak of his batting. Taking the (2019) World Cup into account. He is batting so easily, it is unbelievable,” said Nazmul.
“Shakib is at the peak now. Enjoying his game. It is very important for Bangladesh cricket that he continue to play like this. We have big tournaments ahead, the World Cup. We need him,”

The coach believes Shakib has developed his batting strength and now he can play in different areas which boosted his batting ability.
“Another thing I’ve noticed is that he now knows that even if it is two or three dot balls, he can go for boundaries. It gives any batsman relief. With this, any batsman can think of playing a big innings,”
“Earlier, he would get out while playing big shots. Now that’s not happening. So don’t feel pressure. His body language seems to be playing very comfortably. His self-belief is very high,” he added.
