Bangladesh will be without Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who has withdrawn from the series due to mental and physical exhaustion. Taskin Ahmed said he will be missed by the team in South Africa.
Bangladesh's men's cricket team will depart for South Africa on Friday in two groups to play three One-Day Internationals and two Tests. On Friday, the first group will take off at 10.45 am local time.
Shakib is a key member of the team, and his loss will undoubtedly be felt. Taskin stated before departing the country that Shakib is "the X-Factor" and that the team will miss him greatly.

"Yes, we will miss him [Shakib] a lot. He is always an X factor. He is always a plus point for any team he plays for. But if he doesn't play, then we will badly miss him," said Taskin a day before fly as he will leave with the second group at 11 pm local time on Friday.

Taskin has emerged as one of Bangladesh's most important players across all formats. The right-arm pacer took crucial wickets in the team's historic win over New Zealand earlier this year, and he also had a great ODI series against Afghanistan at home.
The 26-year-old bowler, though, believes there is always room for development, and he aspires to be the best in the world. Taskin emphasized the importance of trusting his approach and managing his workload.
"It doesn't matter if I perform well or don't as long as I trust the process. My dream is big. I want to be the best bowler in the world. That's why I am focusing on my bowling and fitness. As I play Tests, I have to manage my workload as well. Besides, I bowled in the middle overs [in the previous series]. The other day I was bowling to Tamim [Iqbal] bhai with the new ball [in the nets]," he said.
"[The South Africa tour] will be challenging, of course. Conditions were difficult in New Zealand. But the win there has surely increased our confidence. We won some tough matches against Afghanistan at home as well. I believe if we can play like this, we can win in South Africa as well," Taskin added.
