This is not the time for cricket – Liton Das

Bangladesh flamboyant opening batsman Liton Das said that this is not the right time to play cricket matches as the whole world is fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
"At the present situation, cricket is not even in my thoughts. The whole world is in danger. If we can survive, only then we can play or do whatever we were doing. Right now, this is not the time for cricket," Liton told to a leading English newspaper.
Liton Kumar Das was in marauding form in the last series against Zimbabwe as he also scored the highest individual runs for his country in that series.
The right-handed opener also said his wife Sanchita is doing well after a huge explosion at their home.
‘’She is ok now. Her wounds have recovered. She is not facing any difficulties. After the accident, we changed the faulty cylinder and burners,’ He said.
The accident also made it more difficult for Liton to carry on the Bangladesh Cricket Board physical exercise instructions at home like some of his national team-mates but he said that he was still working to keep himself fit.
"I am maintaining my own routine. It is almost same as the BCB prescribed guidelines," Liton said.
To pass the boring lockdown days Liton is watching movies, but not exactly out of interest but just to pass some time.
"Eat, Sleep and Watching Movies; that’s how I am passing my days. I can’t tell you any movie’s name which left a deep mark in my mind because I hardly remember anything after I finished watching it. I do it just to pass time, for something to look at."
