‘That [getting picked in the playing Xi] is not in my hand. My job is to do the hard work and I am doing that. When the team management feels right, they will pick me. I am not worried about it’’ Taskin told that newspaper.

‘I don’t take it as a challenge. Whatever I feel, I am not going to disclose it openly. My competition is against me,’ he added.

Taskin’s career took a sharp turn during the ICC World Twenty20 in 2016 when he was reported for having an illegal bowling action and got suspended in March.

The bowler was once again clear to bowl in September 2016, but after remodeling his action

Former Bangladesh fast bowler Hasibul Hossain Shanto believe Taskin was unlucky in terms of selection

‘Yes, he is a bit unlucky. But viewing the predicament, I think he might lack proper intent as well. It is the responsibility of the player to have self-discipline. I think he is much more attracted to social media,’ Hasibul told that newspaper
