Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Tuesday that they feel Mushfiqur Rahim should reconsider his decision regarding touring Pakistan.

There is amid speculation that Mushfiqur had began to reconsider his decision about going to Pakistan though he is yet make anything public and that includes BCB as well.

Earlier Mushfiqur opted out from the opening two legs of the three-phase Pakistan tour due to safety concern but according to insiders there is chance that might change his decision when Bangladesh will travel to Pakistan for the series concluding last Test, on April 3 to 9 for one-off one-day international series and second Test, scheduled in Karachi. BCB stated earlier that they would respect the decision

“He [Mushfiqur] has not informed us anything of such [to be part of Pakistan tour] yet but I hope he will go. All centrally contracted players should go. You need to think of the country and not always yourself. Everyone’s family is important but the country in bigger,” Nazmul told reporter at SBNS following Bangladesh’s win over Zimbabwe by an innings and 106 runs where Mushfiqur played a massive role scoring his third double hundred in Test cricket.

‘’Till now he did not inform anything to me or anyone of us. But I hope he will go [to Pakistan],’ said BCB president Nazmul.

‘Every contracted player should go. They should think of the country, not always think about oneself.  Family is important for everybody, but country is more important,’ he said.

Nazmul asked Mushfiq to take advice from his brother-in-law Mahmudullah and other team-mates before making up his mind.

“We also had a fear working at the back of our mind. Everyone who toured [Pakistan] had some sort of concern. Those that have already toured include his [Mushfiqur’s] family member [Mahmudullah],” said Nazmul

‘’I want to say nothing would happen to Riyad [Mahmudulla] and [his family] would cry only for him…I don’t believe that. He should hear it from Riyad, hear from others also,’ said Nazmul.

‘I think he can change his mind. We said we won’t force anyone. But after speaking to all I think he should go,’ he said.

Bangladesh are desperate to do well against Pakistan in the second Test, which is part of ICC Test Championship.
