Bangladesh team management is losing their sleep over the injured Mahmudullah as uncertainty looms over his availability before their crucial game against India after sustaining calf injury during their game against Afghanistan on Monday.
Though scan report suggest he had sustained grade one tear and it is not that serious but on the same hand it also does not guarantee that he will available before the game against India, scheduled on July 2.
“Mahmudullah has sustained a low grade calf injury. We will monitor his progress over the next few days with regards to his availability for the next World Cup match,’’ said Bangladesh Physio Thihan Chandramohan on Tuesday.

Mahmudullah, who was batting on one run, sustained calf injury while picking up a single during their game against Afghanistan and batted only after team physio Thian Chandramohan put up some compression tape around his calf.
Later, Mahmudullah added valuable 56 runs with Mushfiqur Rahim before getting out for 27 runs.
Mahmudullah could not take further part in the game against Afghanistan and was taken to hospital for a scan and it looked good enough for the team management to lose their sleep over his fitness more so due to the fact some of their other members are also carrying niggles.
Tamim suffered from finger injury at the start of the tournament, Saifuddin suffered from a back injury, Mushfiqur Rahim was also injured in hand and Mosaddek Hossain also got injured on his shoulder.
Mehedy Hasan received an injury scare on Sunday when he was hit by a ball during the net-session ahead of their game against Afghanistan, but later it was found out that there was nothing too much to worry about it.
