Former West Indian player and now a famous commentator, Ian Bishop suggested Bangladesh to follow India as a role model to produce pace bowlers who can assist Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin.

Mustafiz and Saifuddin has been the main threat of Bangladesh’s bowling line up in this World Cup. They are among the top 10 bowlers of this World Cup, Saifuddin is currently on number eight position with nine wickets and Mustafiz is on the 10th position with eight wickets. Bishop is impressed with Bangladesh’s performance against Australia but he thinks Bangladesh requires more bowlers like them [ Mustafiz and Saifuddin ] and to be successful. Bishop also wants to know the model of producing young fast bowlers from India.

“I am impressed with Bangladesh’s performances in the last few years. If they can produce few talented bowlers to assist Mustafiz and Saifuddin then it will be a great team. The way India did, what’s the model of this? I wanna know” Bishop said.   

India were not that strong at the bowling department a few years back. But with the arrival of Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami they have announced themselves as one of the bowling giants of the cricketing World. They have some other young prospects in their line up too but earlier there weren’t so many effective pacers in the lineup of India.      

Bowling has been a matter of concern for Bangladesh in this World cup. They are leaking too many runs. In the five matches Bangladesh played, opponents scored over 300 runs four times in those five matches. To improve this situation some young pacers is needed, believes Bishop.
