Mali Women’s team concedes most runs in a T20 match

Mali Women cricket team has inscribed their name into the history book twice in just two days—but all for wrong reasons. First, they came into the news by being all out for just 6 runs against Rwanda, which is the lowest ever total in Women’s cricket history and now today they have been part of two new records.
First, they became the team to concede most runs in a T20 match, as on Thursday they conceded 314 runs against Uganda Women cricket team and in second innings they made another record by getting all out for just 10 runs, making the record of highest defeat margin in a T20 match of 304 runs.

Uganda captain Rita Musamali hit an unbeaten 103 and opener Prosvovia Alako scored 116 to drive their side to 314 for two from 20 overs. Mali bowled 61 extras in the innings, including three byes, 28 wides and 30 no balls. Mali’s bowler Oumou Sow gave 82 runs in just 3 overs, with 10 Wides and 16 no balls, she bowled at an economy of 27.33
In reply Mali got all out by scoring just 10 runs, they faced 11.1 overs to score those 10 runs. For Mali, T Konate scored four runs, which is the highest score among the Mali batsmen. For Uganda, M Anyigo took three Mali wickets and S Kakai took two.
Mali is taking part in Kwibuka Women’s T20 championship at Gahanga Stadium, Tanzania. Four women cricket team are taking part in this tournament, they are: Tanzania, Mali, Rwanda, and Uganda. Tanzania is currently on the top of the table with two wins from two matches and Mali is at the bottom because of their two historic wicked performances.
