World champion Australia called left-arm spinner Ashton Agar to prepare them ahead of their clash against Bangladesh comprised of the orthodox left-arm spin of Shakib.
Australia has three spinners in their World Cup squad, Adam Zampa, Nathan Lyon, and Glen Maxwell but none of them is left-arm orthodox, that’s why Australia bring Ashton Agar so that they can prepare well to face Shakib ahead of Bangladesh clash.

“ Shakib is probably the best all-rounder in the World and a left-arm spinner. It was great that Ash ( Ashton Agar ) has come here and given us some time. At this time in last year, he was in the ODI squad of Australia. Ashton Agar is here because of pure professionalism and gave us an opportunity to prepare well for the left-arm spinner,’’ said Australian coach Justin Langer ahead of their game against Tigers.
Agar played for Australia last year, he played in UAE. But he has been excluded from the Australia World Cup squad. He was preparing for Australia A team, Australia A will play England Lions as preparation for Ashes. He has been called up from there.
Shakib has been performing well in this World cup too; he has taken 5 wickets so far with an economy of 5.84.
Five times Champion Australia will play Bangladesh at Nottingham on June 20. This match will start at 3.30 pm (BD Time).
