Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe bin Mortaza hinted that he is eyeing to continue cricket even after the World Cup.
Mashrafe had already declared that it will be his last World Cup prior to his departure to take part in the global competition but due to his recent form, many raised doubts about whether he can prolong his career after the World Cup.
The inspirational skipper expressed that he is pretty sure that this will be his last World Cup but at present, he has no intention to quit cricket all together.
Bangladesh team has a win percentage of 58.22 % under Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. Bangladesh team also won their first-ever tri-series trophy under Mashrafe. But after going through serious injuries and being elected as a member of parliament recently, there were some rumors that Mashrafe may announce his retirement after this World Cup. But Mash put those rumors away, by saying

‘’I never said that I will end my career here [in England],’’ Mashrafee told a private TV channel in England.
‘’What I have said that it's my last World Cup for sure. And I don’t think this type of discussion is healthy for the team in the midst of the World Cup. I always tried to avoid this, I don’t want to discuss this right now,’’ he said.
Mashrafe’s World Cup performance hasn’t been up to the mark so far and he managed to take just one wicket so far in this tournament and due to it there are some people who are criticizing him for putting up a below-par performance.
Mashrafe has gone through seven knee operations in his career and he came back stronger every time as he is captaincy has been instrumental for the Bangladesh team as he is the most successful captain of Bangladesh.
“It's normal. It happens with the players all the time,’’ said Mashrafe. "No, it is not disappointing at all. When you are in professional life and you cannot give your best, it is very natural that questions will be raised against you and you have to accept it,’’
''Ultimately, I expect more of myself and try to contribute to winning a match. When that does not happen, I question myself. Instead of what other people are saying, it is more important what I am feeling. If I am unable to give my best, that I feel bad is more important for me,'' he said
Bangladesh is doing very well so far in the World Cup, they are currently in the fifth position at the point table. Bangladesh started their campaign memorably by beating South Africa but went into back foot after two back to back defeats against New Zealand and England. But Bangladesh came back strongly in their last match against West Indies, where they beat them by 7 wickets and chased down a mammoth total of 321. Bangladesh will play Australia in their 6th match on June 20.
