Former West Indies fast bowler and popular commentator Ian Bishop cautioned West Indies against Bangladesh. To stay in the hunt for the semi-final West Indies must beat Bangladesh. But West Indies recent performance against Bangladesh is not good at all. So, this legend urged West Indies to be extra cautious against Bangladesh.

“ West Indies will play Bangladesh in their next match. They will target this match, they will want to pick up two points from this match. However, Bangladesh have beaten West Indies in their last three series. Once in Bangladesh, then in West Indies and recently in Ireland. But West Indies will try to beat Bangladesh by gaining their rhythm.” Said commentator Bishop.

In last one and half years Bangladesh have played three ODI series against West Indies. In these three ODI series, Bangladesh have beaten them every time. In 2018 Bangladesh went to the West Indies, their performance in the test series was abysmal. But Bangladesh came back strongly with their 2-1 win in the ODI series, they also beat West Indies at the same margin in the T20 series.

In the same year Bangladesh beat West Indies 2-0 in the test series in Bangladesh. They again defeated West Indies at the 2-1 margin in the ODI series in Bangladesh.

West Indies recently lost to Bangladesh in the tri-series win in Ireland. They lost three times against Bangladesh on that series. Although players like Andre Russel, Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran didn’t play for West Indies in that series. But Bangladesh made history in that series by beating West Indies in the final to clinch their first ever tri-series trophy.
