Bangladesh coach Steve Rhodes is very disappointed at ICC for not having any reserve day in this World Cup as his side shared a crucial point today with Sri Lanka due to rain. As we all know that England’s weather is very unpredictable so Rhodes feels this World Cup should have reserve days. In press conference Rhodes said:

“If you see the English weather sadly we know, we are going to get a lot of rain. You never know when rain is gonna come. People all over the world asking me whether it’s gonna rain or not.” Rhodes said.

“I know logistically it would have been a big headache for the tournament organizers. I know it’s difficult. We don’t have quite a lot of time between games, we do quite a lot of travel later too.”  Rhodes added.

As this World Cup is playing as a round-robin league, where every team plays each other, it’s a long tournament and its obvious that some games will wash out due to rain. Rhodes also expressed his frustration regarding this matter.

“We put men on the moon. Why can’t we get a reserve day? It’s a long tournament, its spread out the game. So, I would say it’s quite disappointing, and for the crowd as well.”
