Yuvraj Singh had ups and downs in his career, he has been a valuable member of the 2011 World Cup winning squad for India. He was the man of the tournament in that World Cup with four half-centuries and a century, while also picking up 15 wickets. Yuvraj was also influential for India in the first ever T20 World Cup, in which India became Champion. His 6 sixes from 6 balls against Stuart Board is still a treat to watch.
Yuvraj Singh has been a fighter over the years, Yuvraj was identified with mediastinal seminoma, a germ-cell tumor located between his two lungs. The diagnosis was definite in February 2012, and he didn’t feature in any game till December that year,
But his return in international was not that pleasant as he was out of form and he last turned out in national colors in June 2017 in an ODI during India's tour of the West Indies.
But even after that Yuvraj continued his journey in the IPL. He played mostly for the Kings XI Punjab side, but this year there was a bit of drama because he wasn’t picked in the auction at first but later on Mumbai Indians took him in their team. He didn’t play in most games but he retires as a champion as Mumbai Indians won the IPL this year.
