Dholeshwar eyes to bring down Abahani

Prime Dholeshwar pace bowler Abu Jayed Rahi believes that if they can win against Abahani Limited they will be firmly placed to clinch their maiden championship.
Considering the proximity and importance of the match Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis change the venue and instead of playing the game at Fatullah now it will be hosted at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Dholeshwar have always turned out to be a major contender for the title since their inception in the league few years back but somehow could not managed to get taste of lifting the DPL Cup yet.
’’Basically every match is important,’’ said Rahi ahead of the crucial game.

‘’Because we usually do well against Abahani this match is very important because if we can win this game than we will be going closer to the championship,’’ he said about their prospect after confirming a berth in the super-league by beating Sheikh Jamal in the last game.
Rahi added that they are well aware that doing well against Abahani will certainly lift their morale while the performance in the big match will also have an impact in their career as well.
‘’Everyone gives extra effort against Abahani and that also includes me,’’ said Rahi.
‘’I will try to perform a bit harder against Abahani because that will help to have more focus on me. It is the same with the other members of the team and they are keenly waiting for the contest,’’ he said.
Rahi added that they are taking confidence from the performance of opener Saif Hasan and all-rounder Farhad Reza as both of them are doing extremely well in the tournament.
‘’I think we are a balanced side and we can give any team a good run for their money,’’ said Rahi.
‘’Like there is Farhad and Sad[ Nasim] who are doing well in the slog while there is Saif who is providing us with good start,’’ he said
