Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza raised question regarding the standard of Dhaka Premier as he believe that it won’t be wise to pick World Cup squad members on the back of their DPL performance.

There are quite a few names that is hogging all the spotlight in the ongoing DPL, country’s prestigious club-based ODI tournament that only indicate that team management will be busy before finalizing the 15-member WC squad.

Anamul Haque and Farhad Reza are two such names as they are looking as if they are going through their peak in their career with some scintillating performance.

Anamul scored three successive centuries while Farhad is the leading wicket taker in the tournament. However, it looked that their performance won’t have any long lasting effect on the ODI skipper’s mind as he firmly believe that there is vast difference between the two platforms.

‘’ We had observed that some of us played well even if ge failed to perform here  and so I can say that there is a huge difference between these two places,’’ Mashrafee told reporters at  For this reason, I am telling that the players who can prepare mentally get a big advantage and lots of things will depend on him,’’ he added. 

‘’Actually I am not concern about Dhaka League because I have seen many times that players suffer in the international arena who hit ton in DPL,’’ he said.

Because, the intent of international cricket and domestic are very different and you can’t find some such intent in DPL and so players who scores or get wickets in domestic circuit, may struggle in the World Cup,’’ he said.
