Skipper Farhad Reza put up an all-round show to help Prime Dholeshar reached the semi-final of the Dhaka Premier League as they defeated Gazi Cricketers by three wickets at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Thursday.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club will take on Shinepukur Cricket Club in the first semifinal while Prime Bank will lock horns with Prime Dholeshar in the second semi-final at SBNS on March 1.

Put into bat, Gazi made a bright start as Mehedi Hasan(39) and Waliul Karim made a bright start adding 51 runs in 5.3 overs before the latter was stumped trying to go for the big shots.
Prime reduced them to 66-3 in quick time to get a grip on the game before Shamsur Rahman and Touhid Tarek resurrected the ship adding 56 runs for the fifth wicket.
However, Prime again came back into the game as they dismissed Shamsur (36) and Touhid(26) in successive overs as it stopped their opponent from going for the last kill during the end of their innings. Farhad picked 2-18 to make things difficult for Gazi.
In reply, Prime were struggling at 73 -5 after losing Farhad Hossain (32) as he was playing the sheet anchor role despite wickets were falling at regular intervals at the other end.
Farhad Reza (36) and Shykat Ali (28 not out) added 51 runs for the seventh wicket to bail them through the crisis and helped them progress to the semi-final.
