Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) will have to pay the three cricketers for releasing them despite picking them from the players draft in the Dhaka Premier League, said Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) chairman Kazi Inam on Tuesday.
During the last players draft MSC picked 12 cricketers that included Mohammad Azim, Rahatul Ferdous and Nuruzzaman. However, MSC officials had asked the trio that they are not interested to carry them during the upcoming edition of Dhaka Premier League.
It was also alleged that the trio was asked not to join the squad to take part in the practice session. MSC picked Azim for TK 12 Lakh while they agreed to pay Rahatul TK 10 Lakh and Nuruzzaman TK Five Lakh during the auction before deciding it otherwise.

The players have already disclosed the matter to CCDM while some of them had also expressed their disappointment in the media recently. “I came to know about it from the newspaper and I have already spoken with the MSC management in this regard,’’ Kazi Inam told reporters when he was asked about the issue.
“They had assured me that they will settle the matter by negotiating with the players but there is no scope as such in this regard because the club was clearly instructed that if they pick any cricketer than they will have to pay them fully whether they stick with them or not,’’ he said.
Azim, who took 18 wickets in six matches last season, revealed the matter to the media on Monday and sought co-operation from the concerned authorities in this regard.
“On Sunday night [Mohammedan manager] Wasim [Khan] Bhai rang me and said that Mahbub [Anam] Bhai told him to advise me to look for another club. They also told me not to come for practice today [Monday]. I was not a requested player; they picked me,” said Azim while told reporters on Monday.
“Is it fair? Where will I get a new team now? I saw that [Shahadat Hossain] Rajib Bhai came today in my place, although he was not picked in the draft,” he added.
Meanwhile, MSC apart from picking Shahadat also picked Tushar Imran and Saqlain Sajib as they remained unsold in the players auction.
