Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes insisted that his team will have to take the toll of playing three-match Test series in 24 days considering there is injury concern to some of the squad members.

Bangladesh were hit by injury since the start of the series as Shakib al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed was ruled out due to their respective injuries though the former might make a comeback in the series considering the recovery status of his injured finger.

Mohammad Mithun, who seemed to be the leading the way in the opening two ODI’s with the successive half-centuries sustained hamstring injury in the second game and was ruled out for the third game and looks to be doubtful for the opening Test match.

However, the injury of Mushfiqur Rahim seemed to be making the team management losing its sleep considering his importance in the middle-order as they are not completely clear about his availability.

Mushfiqur rib injury resurfaced during the second ODI’s that made him doubtful for the last ODI’s though he went on to play eventually despite the fact scan revealed he had broken his ribs.

Mushfiqur also sustained two more injuries during the ongoing tour as he had a side strain as well as injured his wrist during the course of time and now it seems his wrist-injury making the visitors sweat over his fitness.

"We got a few little niggles here but hopefully we got a great medical team and they'll pull them through and we will put our best 11 out there,’’ said the Englishman.

"It is not something to worry about, given that some of the squad are carrying niggling injuries, it could be a factor as the series progresses. We are hopeful of putting 11 fit guys out there when we get around to the Test match. When you are not fit, it puts you at risk of injury," he said adding that he is sure that his charges need to increase their ability to take heavy workload in the series considering it will be quite hectic for them.

"I think that 15 days' cricket, which it could be out of 24 days, is difficult. Not many teams will play a three-Test series in 24 days," he added.
