Bangladesh skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza opted to bat against New Zealand in the three match ODI series opener at the McLean Park, Napier on Wednesday.
Both the teams will be looking forward to sort out their combinations and getting to know their final 15 ahead of the upcoming ICC World Cup as the countdown of the World Cup picked up pace.

The three ODIs should give both teams a better idea as to where they stand going into the mega event.
‘’We will bat first, looks like a good batting surface. The West Indies win was great for us, we played really well and are looking to repeat the performance, playing 2-3 spinners,’’ said Bangladesh skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza.
‘’We would have batted first as well. Looks like there's less grass on the surface and the ball should come nicely onto the bat. We will have to limit them to as less as possible. The two players missing out are Tim Southee and Todd Astle,’’ added New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson
