Defending champion Rangpur Riders all-rounder Farhad Reza believes that their top-four is making life easier for them in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League.
Riders top four- Chris Gayle, Alex Hales, Rille Rossouw and AB de Villiers- unarguably considered to be the best in the business when it comes to the top-order in the shortest format of the game.
Though Chris Gayle is yet to leave any impression the other three batsmen had already plundered respective centuries to help Rider bail out during their last four successive wins that looked to be quite a turnaround given they had won only two games out of their opening six games.
According to Farhad they are extremely comfortable with them at the top while added that he is sure Gayle will not take long to return back to form as he is a player of big match.
“We have nothing to say about the four batsmen that we have in the team,’’ Farhad told reporters after his match winning performance against Rajshahi Kings.

‘’They just make our work simple. They discuss with us how it will be easier for us,’’ he said.
‘’They have been playing for us well since last four-five matches. We are yet to face any threat. We did not get chance for batting for the last three matches,’’ he said
‘’In T20 if top-order doesn’t score, you will not get more from the lower order. They are regularly playing across the world,’’ he said adding that adding they are no worried about Gayle’s form what so ever.
‘’But I believe in big player like Chris Gayle will deliver in the big stage,’’ he remarked.
For Farhad this BPL is nothing short of a fairy tale as he managed to come up with some match winning performance on the back of his 17 wickets so far along with a cameo [six-ball 18] that helped them edge past Sylhet Sixers at their own den.
‘’Obviously every match is important for me. Always I try to play better cricket in every match. I am yet to get satisfaction for my performance. We have some more games ahead. We will look to improve ourselves in every game.
“If you follow us you will get to see that we played four-day matches since last fourth months. In the meantime, some of us held bowling practice or batting practice. I think, we have skills better than them.
“I had no extra work for BPL. But when we are 12 players including Forhad Hossain, Zunaid, Jahurul Islam Omi in Rajshahi, we have worked light programme under the supervision of Tushar da for the last five months. We go in the field at 7am and back home at 7pm,’’ he said
Farhad added that skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza helped him regain his confidence.
“After winning the match against Khulna Titans, Mashrafe bhai told me that I could bowl Yorker good. If you have belief yourself then you have to do it in today’s match. We have learnt many things from him. He is our idol. In this condition, he is going on playing in the same pace with us. We are trying to do our work in right way,’’ Farhad concluded.
