Retired South African cricketer AB de Villiers, who is playing for Rangpur Riders said Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will be one of the leading franchise-based T20 tournaments of the world.
De Villiers, who has been playing for in IPL for a long time, feels though it is too early to compare BPL with IPL, he is confident it won’t long to catch up with IPL. He also said, he wants to play BPL again.

‘’It’s not as good as the IPL because it’s still young. IPL has been going for 11 years while in Bangladesh it’s only the six seasons so they have got a bit of time,’’ said AB.
‘’But it definitely competes with some of the big tournaments in the world. It’s a fantastic tournament and I am looking forward to come back again,’’ he said.
BPL often gets criticize because of the wickets. But AB has different view. He is completely fine with the BPL wicket.
‘’Every wicket is different and that is part of the skill of playing this beautiful game as to adapt to play in different conditions. I have seen Gayle getting bowled out for one while I have seen 230 runs so all I can say is that it’s great for cricket,’’ he concluded.
