Rangpur Riders coach Tom Moody was not surprised to see David Warner batting at right hand in Sylhet Sixers game against Rangpur Riders.

The natural left-hand batsman Warner is the captain of IPL side Sunrisers Hyderabad where Moody is the head coach, so he has the first experience about his style of play.
After failing to read Chris Gayle’s gentle off-spin properly and playing three dots in the penultimate over, Warner was desperate to such extent that he switched to right hand and it paid the dividends as he smacked Gayle a six and two boundaries in the last three balls.
“David Warner, right hand batsman, I’m not surprised to see him do it because I have seen him bat right-handed on a number of occasions having worked with him for a number of years. Seeing him do it last night was a surprise, though, in a match situation, in that given situation, but I’ll never ever write off what Warner can’t do and I’d suggest to others that if they want to bat the other side they’ll have to do a hell of a lot of practice to get it right, because it’s not easy.”
