Khulna Titans left-arm spinner Taijul Islam said that they were helping themselves out during the disastrous run that saw them lose four matches on a trot in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League.
Taijul Islam claimed his career-best three for 10 to deliver Khulna Titans the much-expected victory.
After losing four matches in a row, which put their ambition of last-four stage at stake, Khulna finally recorded a 25-run win over Rajshahi Kings in a low-scoring affair in the first match of Sylhet phase of BPL on Tuesday at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Taijul added that they stayed united during the tougher phase and thanked team management and team officials for not putting any extra pressure on their shoulder.
‘’Playing cricket is always pressure. As we lost four matches in row naturally we were certainly in the back foot. But the team management and officials always supported us during this period and asked us not to get broken,’’ said Taijul.
‘’We started helping each other at the team. We were never so shattered that we started believing that we could not win,’’ he said.
‘’We still have seven matches and we can win four or five matches we can still have a chance to take part in the play offs and we are playing with that aim because in T20 there is nothing called impossible,’’ he said adding that they are waiting to take unbeatable Dhaka Dynamites in their next match.
‘’Dhaka is a pre-tournament favourites but there is nothing like we cannot beat them because if you want to win you have to play good cricket and whoever does that will win,’’ he said.
Taijul, who is regarded as a Test specialist, added that he had not given up hope entirely of making a comeback in national team in colored jersey.
‘’It is not that I did not play while ball cricket because I played in the national team while been performing regularly in domestic cricket and BPL while there is lot of time left in my career,’’ Taijul concluded.
