Ian Bell, one of the some overseas players who chose Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) over Big Bash League (BBL) in Australia, insisted the England players to challenge themselves by playing in the vastly different condition in Bangladesh than the comfort zone of playing in Australia or England.

He said that from England cricket point of view ‘it’s great the guys came to play in these conditions’ and believed that playing in this condition would make them better player.

Bell’s comment is preciously right, considering the fact that the England players have  more often found them in wanting in the sub-continent, which is not the case for them in Australian or any other condition, where they thrive with ease.

“In home, we have given lot of emphasis on white ball cricket and the more you come out from the comfort zone, to play in English surfaces that we more used to. It’s nice to challenge yourself in different conditions and this (BPL) is another competition to do so,” Bell who is acquired by Dhaka Dynamites said on Thursday.

“ I am little bit older than that but it’s nice to come in my age in here but especially young players from England that’s great experience for them to play with world class players people like Sakib and learn how to play in this condition. When they go back home, they will become a better player.”

In his illustrious career, Bell, considered as the linchpin of England middle order, played 118 Tests and 161 ODIs to go with his eight T20 International matches. However following his poor form in 2015 Ashes he was dropped from the both ODI and Test squad and never could make a come back.

With England cricket focused on infusing young bloods, at the age of 36, Bell understood his International career is over and thereby he eyes to make an impact in the franchise-based T20 cricket around the world. To be precious, his aim is to prepare him a good coach and therefore the stint with different domestic tournament around the world is important for him in a bid to understand the players.

It was the first time he is playing BPL in his career. But he is yet to make his debut as the  squad of Dhaka Dynamites are such strong than even a player like Bell’s stature finds it tough to make the cut in the final XI.

“Obviously we are very lucky as we got world class players. And all of them are playing well. If I get a chance then great if not I am gonna learn and practice as much as I can as I got good facilities here. But it’s really enjoyable to get world class players and the way they play so far it’s tough to get in,” he pointed out.
