Bangladesh Twenty 20 skipper Salma Khatun said that they are confident of clinching the upcoming home series against Pakistan.
Bangladesh will host Pakistan women’s national team for a four-match T20I series and another one-off ODI. The matches will be held between 1 and 8 October, at the Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has arranged a practice camp in a bid to help the team to prepare better ahead of the next series.
Before leaving for the camp, Bangladesh captain Salma Khatun said she wants to win the two limited-overs series though they have earned their only T20 win against Pakistan in the last Asia Cup while they were beaten on all the other occasions in the eight clashes that the two teams played so far.
“Our preparation has been good as we practiced a lot in the camp. Our aim will be to win whenever we go into the game; so that we can achieve a good result by performing well.
“We are very confident. Everyone is in good form. They have been playing well. Hopefully, we’ll be the champions in both series by playing good cricket,” said Salma.
These teams had last faced each other back in June this year, during the Women’s T20 Asia Cup. The Tigresses came out victorious in that clash and eventually won the title as well. They also became the champions in the Women’s World T20 qualifiers in July, which was their last international assignments.
Following the upcoming series, both the teams will travel to the West Indies to take part in the Women’s World T20.
The Tigresses have been grouped with West Indies, England, Sri Lanka, and South Africa. They will face Pakistan once again during the warm-up matches before the tournament, on November 6. The Salma-led team will also take on Ireland in their first warm-up match on November 5.
