Towhid to lead U-19 in Asia Cup

All-rounder Towhid Ridoy will lead Bangladesh Under-19 squad in the upcoming ACC U19 Asia Cup, scheduled to start from September 29 in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a strong 15-member U-19 squad with Towhid as the skipper while Shamim Hossain will act as his deputy in the tournament.
Bangladesh were drawn in Group B along with Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong and they will face Sri Lanka at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on the opening day of the tournament.
Reigning champions Afghanistan were drawn in Group A alongside India, Nepal and United Arab Emirates.
The group stage matches will be held at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan and Chittagong while Sher-e Bangla National Stadium will host the semi-finals and final of the tournament.
The final match will take place on October 7.

Towhid Hridoy (Captain), Shamim Hossain (Vice-captain), Tanzid Hasan, Sajid Hossan, Prantik Nawrose, Amite Hasan, Akbar Ali, Shahadat Hossain, Rakibul Hasan, Minhazur Rahman, Mohammad Rishad Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Mehedi Hasan, Mohammad Mirttunjoy Chowdhury and Avishek Das.
Standbys: Mahmudul Hasan, Pritom Kumar, Tanzim Hasan and Asadullah Hill Galib.
