Due to visa complication, Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal and pacer Rubel Hossain will join the 16-member Asia Cup squad later, said Bangladesh Cricket Board official on Sunday.
Tamim and Rubel are expected to leave as soon as they get their visa while manager Khaled Mahmud and chief selector Minhajul Abedin, who are expected to be part of the touring party also failed to obtain visa and will join the squad as soon as they get it.

“This is not a big issue. Probably there was some technical problem that prompted their stay in Dhaka,” said a BCB official. “We will get the visa within a day or two and they will fly immediately after we obtain it from the embassy.”
Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the tournament-opener and will play Afghanistan in the last match of the group phase on September 20.
The Tigers' Sri Lankan trainer Mario Villavarayan is expected to play the role of manager until Mahmud reached Dubai.
