Mosaddek, Mushfiq & Liton star as Bangladesh win practice match

Tigers win practice one-day by six wickets

Following a disappointing Test series, the Tigers have completed their preparation for the limited-over leg of the West Indies tour on a positive note. They have clinched a four-wicket victory over the University of West Indies (UWI) Vice Chancellors XI in the one-day practice match.
Mahmudullah Riyad led the Bangladeshi side as Mashrafe Mortaza and Shakib Al Hasan weren’t part of the playing eleven.
Batting first, the West Indian team lost an early wicket as Rubel Hossain removed the opposition captain, Chadwick Walton, for a duck. Amir Jangoo then restored the innings by stitching a 50-run stand with Chris Gayle.
Mosaddek Hossain precipitated a collapse by breaking the partnership between the two. He went on to take a four-fer as the Vice Chancellors XI became six down before reaching three-digit figures.
Yanick Ottley and Kavem Hodge shared a seventh-wicket partnership of 91 runs to salvage the pride of the hosting side. Ottley picked up a half-century and returned to the pavilion scoring 58 runs after Hodge got dismissed for 44.

The Vice Chancellors XI ended up scoring 227 for nine wickets in 50 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh too dealt an early blow with opener Anamul Haque's dismissal off Andre Russell. Liton Das and Nazmul Hossain then added 101 runs in the second wicket to set the stage for a win for their side.
Shanto got out for 43 and Liton made 70 runs before returning to the pavilion. Mushfiqur Rahim top-scored for the visitors with an unbeaten 75-run knock which and took the team past the finishing line with 6.3 overs to spare.
