Sohag Gazi picked for third one-dayer against Sri Lanka A

Sohag Gazi

Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] has named the Bangladesh A squad ahead of the third and final unofficial one-day match against Sri Lanka A.
Bangladesh A won the series opener by 2 runs. Sri Lanka A then squared the series by registering a 67-run victory in the subsequent clash. Both teams will be looking to clinch the series-decider on Sunday (July 22), at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Sohag Gazi and Al Amin (Jr) have been included in the 15-member squad.
According to sources, Gazi could be in line for a national call-up ahead of Bangladesh’s T20I series against West Indies. Although Mehidy Hasan's performance for the national team has been admireable in Tests, he failed to impress in the shorter formats.

Gazi last played an international match for Bangladesh back in July 2015. He has taken a total of 64 scalps in 40 international appearances for the Tiger.
The 26-year-old has been a consistent performer in the domestic leagues in recent times. He bagged 11 wickets in the BPL in 2017 and picked up 18 wickets in the Dhaka Premier League last season. He was also the second-highest wicket-taker in the Bangladesh Cricket League this year.
