Family reasons force Sohail to return to Pakistan

Pakistan Cricket Board [PCB] has allowed Haris Sohail to return home midway through the Zimbabwe tour. His daughter’s illness forced the batsman to fly back home to Pakistan. PCB is yet to name a replacement for the left-handed batsman.
Sohail has been with the team since the start of the tour. He played two matches in the T20I triangular series, which Pakistan won by defeating Australia in the final match. The 29-year-old was not able to make his mark in those matches and also sat out the first two ODIs of the ongoing five-match series against Zimbabwe.

Pakistan won the tri-series and are currently leading the bilateral ODI series by 2-0. They will be looking to seal the series in the next game and later whitewash the hosts who are playing without some of their most experienced players.
Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed had indicated that the team will test their bench strength in the upcoming clashes. However, Sohail will now miss the opportunity while the likes of Mohammad Hafeez, Yasir Shah, and Junaid Khan could hope for some game time.
Meanwhile, Hasan Ali is also doubtful for the third ODI after injuring his neck during the second match. The third match will be held on Wednesday (July 18) in Bulawayo.
