West Indies to rest Kemar Roach for second Test

Kemar Roach will be rested from the second Test against Bangladesh due to a hamstring injury. He has been replaced by Alzarri Joseph in the 13-member squad.
Roach picked a hamstring strain in the first innings of the first Test in Antigua. He took a fifer in that innings and helped the Caribbean side skittle Bangladesh for their lowest Test innings total of 43 runs. The hosts went on to win the match by an innings and 219 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
Joseph last played a Test for the West Indian side back in August 2017. He was the pick of the bowlers in the two-day practice match between President’s XI and Bangladesh and scalped four wickets in that game.

The second Test will start on July 12, in Jamaica. Following the Test series, Bangladesh will face West Indies in three ODIs and as many T20Is. According to sources, ODI skipper Mashrafe Morataza could miss the ODI series along with another paceman, Rubel Hoassain.
