Bangladesh sent to bat first, Abu Jayed earns his Test debut

Bangladesh and West Indies are facing each other in the first Test of a two-match series. Following the series Bangladesh will take on the hosts in three ODIs and as many T20Is.
Both these teams have endured contrasting pathways in world cricket over the past few years or so. West Indies, currently are positioned below Bangladesh in the ICC Test Rankings and would be keen to redeem that. They also have the home-ground factor in their advantage, and Bangladesh can expect a decent challenge from their opponents.
Abu Jayed has earned his first Test cap for Bangladesh. The Tigers have been sent to bat first by the West Indian side following the coin toss.
