Krunal Pandya, Deepak Chahar receive maiden India call-up

Deepak Chahar and Krunal Pandya have earned their maiden national call-up ahead of India’s three-match T20I series against England. They will replace the injured duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar. Both Chahar and Krunal have been rewarded with a place in the squad on account of their impressive performances in the IPL this year.
Bumrah injured his left thumb while playing against Ireland in the two-T20I series opener. Sundar twisted his ankle while playing football during the warm-up session before the second T20I.
Bumrah will also miss the ODI series against England following the three T20Is. Axar Patel has been named in the ODI squad as a replacement for Sundar. Following the limited-over series England will host India for five Tests.
The BCCI selectors have also added Rishabh Pant to India A squad for the only four-day match against England Lions, scheduled to be held between 16-19 July. Pant is currently playing alongside Chahar and Krunal in the tri-series involving India A, England Lions, and West Indies A.
