Former Bangladesh coach set to join Scotland

Former Bangladesh bowling coach Heath Streak will join Scotland as a consultant for their remaining matches in the ongoing T20 tri-series, also involving the Netherlands and Ireland. Scotland head coach Grant Bradburn requested the former Zimbabwe cricketer to share his T20 experience with the team.
“Grant Bradburn asked me if I could share my T20 experience with them as a consultant to help the team as well as the coaches to evolve in that format and I was happy to share my knowledge and experience with them,” Streak reportedly said.
“They have really improved since the 2015 Cricket World Cup. They have now got a consistently competitive team and their historic first ODI win over England is a testament to their progress as a country in world cricket.”

Scotland came into the series after their historic win against England in a one-off ODI. They lost their first game in the triangular series against Ireland and tied the next match against the same opponents.
Scotland will now have to win both of their next two clashes against the Netherlands in order to win the title. The Netherlands are now leading the points table after defeating Ireland twice in the first two matches of the series.
Streak, who was the bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2018 , had been sacked by Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) as head coach of the country's national side earlier this year due to the team’s failure to qualify for the ICC World Cup. He will now look to help Scotland repeat their ODI success in T20Is when they take on the Netherlands on 19th and 20th June, in Amstelveen.
