‘I wouldn't play T20Is’

What if Bangladesh start playing T20Is only six months before
the T20 World Cup? Can they become aggressive all of a sudden and prepared
enough to deliver what it takes to succeed in T20Is?
According to England head coach Trevor Bayliss international teams should be playing the shortest format of international cricket only six months ahead of the T20 World Cup.
After winning in the 100th T20I of England against New Zealand in the ongoing tri-nation series which also involves Australia, Bayliss revealed that he would never opt to play in the T20Is.
He reportedly said, "I wouldn't play T20 internationals.If
you want to play a World Cup every four years or whatever it is, maybe six
months before you get the international teams and let them play some T20
internationals. (Otherwise) I'd just let the franchises play.”
“If you want to play a World Cup every four years or
whatever it is, maybe six months before you get the international teams and let
them play some T20 internationals.”

England skipper Eoin Morgan said that their batting was not
up to the mar, as a result, they suffered throughout the series.
Morgan said, “We had absolutely no right to be in the final.
We played terribly so far in the tri-series. We played well, did enough
to win but not enough to go through but that has been the story of the trip.
“There was nothing in the first two games of our batting
that suggested we were going to post a competitive score. That has let us down
because batting is normally our strength.”
Despite winning the last match of the group stage, also
England’s only win in this tournament, the English team did not qualify for the
final. Undoubtedly, Morgan saw upset regarding the result.
“It didn’t feel like a win. Going out there at the halfway
stage we knew that 174 was the target to restrict them to. Once that went
naturally the guys’ heads went down,” said Morgan.
Bayliss’ opinion regarding the scheduling of T20Is might not
affect the fate of the format but if it comes to fruition then it will be
adding to the miseries of the teams like Bangladesh, who are relatively a
weaker side in this format. The sub-continental team lost both T20Is against Sri Lanka in a 2-match series.
On the other hand, if such fixtures take place, the there will be enough room for the domestic T20 leagues to increase the popularity of such tournaments.
