BCB announce Shakib's replacement

Bangladesh T20 skipper Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the 1st clash of the 2-match series against Sri Lanka. The match is scheduled to take place at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on 15 February.
Nazmul Hossain Apu has been included in the squad to replace Shakib. Mahmudullah Riyad will be leading the side against Sri Lanka in the absence of the all-rounder.
Nazmul Hossain Apu has been fantastic with the ball in Bangladesh Premier League. He took 10 wickets at an average of 16.33 for the champion side - Rangpur Riders.
The 2nd match of the T20 series will take place in Sylhet on February 18. Bangladesh lost the recently concluded Test series, and the tri-nation series final against Sri Lanka.

Regarding the inclusion of Nazmul, chief selector Minhajul Abedin reportedly said, "He was making good progress so we thought he might be available for both the matches. But it seems now he cannot play the first Twenty20. We will see how he goes before we decide about playing him in the second match."
