Jahurul Islam century takes Gazi Group to 247

The match between Gazi Group Cricketers and Khelaghar Samaj
Kallyan Samity commenced when the latter won the toss and elected to field
first. Jahurul Islam and Imrul Kayes opened the batting for Gazi Group, with
the latter failing to take advantage of his start.
Indeed, after scoring 14 runs from 22 balls, Kayes perished.
In came Mominul Haque—the man in form. After scoring two centuries in the
Chittagong Test, Mominul seems to have picked up where he left off. He,
however, should be disappointed for not making a huge score as he got out for
46 runs after playing 47 balls.

Zakir Ali and Nadif Chowdhury were the next to go, but
Jahurul Islam stood strong. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored a magnificent
century of 140 balls. While it might look like a slow-paced innings, it helped
Gazi Group put up a score in excess of 200
On the other end, Rajat Bhatia played a great support role
to score 61 from 60 balls, pushing the team’s total to 247 runs from 50 overs.
For the bowlers, Mohammad Saddam, Hasan Mahmud, Rafsan Al
Mahmud and Tanvir Islam took a wicket each.
Khelagar now have to chase the target of 248 runs.
