Former Indian cricket lauds Rahul Dravid

It seems as though the shower of praises for Rahul Dravid is not going to stop for some time. After all, he helped the U19 team to a
World Cup win in New Zealand just two days ago.
And Dilip Vengsarkar has joined the list as the former
chairman of selectors has lauded Rahul Dravid’s man-management abilities that
helped the youngsters be mentally prepared for the matches that they played in
the tournament.
"Rahul said all the right things before important
games. For example, he indicated to his young team that they must enjoy the
game against Pakistan. He also said that playing Pakistan does not change the
way they practice or prepare. I thought this was going beyond coaching,"
said Vengsarkar.

The Wall also banned the youngsters from using cell phones before
the final as it could have created unnecessary pressure on them. And Vengsarkar believes
that it was a great decision.
"It was a smart move to avoid any distractions from the
media and the players' parents."
Rahul Dravid’s boys not only won the World Cup, they dominated the proceedings in every game that they played. The likes of Shubham Gill, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and captain Prithvi Shaw are being touted as the next best things for Indian cricket, further boosting their reputations with magnificent World Cup performances.
