Virat Kohli says no to pressure

India are up against South Africa away from home next and
they have some scores to settle. Indeed, if you had a glimpse of the
Television, you might have seen the way Indian channels are portraying their
views on the series.
For them, it is about avenging the team for the 25 years of
humiliation that they have faced in South Africa. The hype is flying all
around, but Virat Kohli isn’t enmeshing in those over-the-top flimflam. To him,
it is all about removing the pressure that arises with attempting to prove
oneself to masses.
"We have got rid of all the mental pressure of touring
abroad and wanting to prove [things] to people. We don't want to prove anything
to anyone. Our duty is to go out there and give our 100 percent effort for the
country and get the desired results.”

Kohli then stressed that they might or might not win, but
that they have to be “realistic” about their deeds—regardless of which team
they play.
"Sometimes it will happen and sometimes it may not
happen. It can happen at home and away as well. We need to be realistic with
what we are doing.
“That's the only way to keep ourselves in the present and
execute the things we want to. We are just going out there to play cricket. It
does not matter whether we are in South Africa, England, Australia or
India," said the Indian skipper.
India have slayed a lot of teams at home this year, but the
real challenge is playing against the Proteas at their home. A good result here
would ensure the place of the Men in Blue in the top echelons of the cricket
fraternity.
A loss, however, would just bring about a tag that they
wouldn’t like to have on their heads.
