Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes said on Wednesday that Tigers have a better chance in ODI’s compared to Test in the upcoming New Zealand tour.
The first of Bangladesh ODI squad that included two officials and eight cricketers left Dhaka for the tour of New Zealand to play a series comprising with three ODI’s and three Test.
Tigers ODI’s performance in recent past looked to be the confidence booster for the tourist despite the fact that they are yet to earn a win across format against New Zealand at their own den.

"We are very happy with the performances of the players recently. We are expecting to do well in the ODI format because that's something we pride ourselves on and so we will be doing our very best in the ODIs,’’ Rhodes told reporters at the Airport.
"As far as Test matches are concerned very difficult,’’ he said.
"Again we are a little bit better equipped now for playing away from home. Hopefully, we can produce some result in the test matches,’’ he added.
Rhodes said that the ODI series will help them chalk out their plan for the upcoming ICC World Cup, scheduled to be hosted in England from July, as they are expecting to face similar condition during the upcoming international assignment.
"Yeah, It [the tour of New Zealand] will give us an indication where we are in world cricket, whether we are on target to the World Cup. You know Ireland and the West Indies will be closer to the tournament and so that will be the last finishing touches for the World Cup,’’ said Rhodes.
"I hope we win some games. I will be great for us to win some games of cricket there but it is not easy as it was proved during the last time,’’ he said
"We are very happy with the players and we hope to achieve our goals in the upcoming tour,’’ he concluded.
