Bangladesh pacer's match fee fined

Fine for Abu Hider Rony

Bangladesh left-handed pacer Abu Hider Rony has been handed a 20% fine on his match fee for using language that is deemed as inappropriate on a cricket field. The incident took place in the 14th over when he was hit by a six by Rovman Powell.
He had previously received a warning from the umpires after he was heard using expletives by the umpires. However, he did it once again in the aforementioned 14th over and has been fined 20% of his match fees for “using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during an International Match”.
The youngster has been found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel and has been awarded a demerit point for his act of indiscipline.

The left-handed pacer admitted to his offence and accepted the charges against him by Chris Broad of Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees, which meant that there was no necessity for a formal hearing.
On-field umpire Leslie Reifer and Joel Wilson, along with third umpire Gregory Brathwaite and fourth umpire Nigel Duguid, levelled the charge against Abu Hider.
Bangladesh will take on West Indies for the final game of the tour tomorrow for the third T20I that will decide the outcome of the series.
