Chasing a formidable target of 191, Rajshahi’s innings crumbled for just 80 runs. This victory marks Chittagong’s fifth win in eight matches, placing them third in the points table.

Meanwhile, Rajshahi, which have new captain Taskin Ahmed as the management announced Anamul Haque Bijoy will no longer be the skipper, lost six games in nine matches, remain in fifth place.


Rajshahi’s chase faltered from the start, losing three wickets for just 20 runs and collapsing further to 68 for 7. Bijoy (21 off 21) and Akbar Ali (10 off 13) were the only batters to reach double digits.

Earlier, Chittagong set a commanding total of 191 for 8, thanks to strong contributions from Naeem Islam and Graham Clark.


Despite losing Usman Khan early (7 off 4), the Naeem -Clark partnership laid a solid foundation. Clark scored 45 off 28 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes, while Naim’s 56 off 41 included 5 boundaries and 3 sixes.



Later, Mohammad Mithun added 32 off 20 balls, Haider Ali chipped in with 25 off 14, and Rahatul Ferdous smashed 16 off 8 in the death overs to boost the total.


For Rajshahi, Taskin claimed 2 wickets for 23 runs, while Mohor Sheikh also took 2 wickets but conceded 46 runs.
