Taskin named captain of Durbar Rajshahi, Bijoy released after hitting century

The team management has announced that Taskin Ahmed will take over as captain for the remainder of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 season.

Anamul has been in sensational form this season, scoring 324 runs in 8 matches, making him the tournament’s leading run-scorer. He also smashed a brilliant century (100 off 57 balls) in the last match against Khulna Tigers, although his efforts couldn’t secure a win for his team.
Following the match, Anamul was visibly emotional during the post-match presentation, expressing his disappointment at not being able to lead his team to victory in a nail-biting contest.
In a statement, the Durbar Rajshahi management explained the decision:
"We believe relieving Anamul of the captaincy will allow him to focus entirely on his batting. This move is aimed at keeping him mentally fresh and helping the team secure a playoff spot. His contributions with the bat are vital for our success."
Taskin Ahmed, who has also been in outstanding form this season, will take on the captaincy role. With 18 wickets in 8 matches, he is currently the tournament’s leading wicket-taker.
"Taskin has been exceptional this season, both on and off the field. We are confident that his leadership will guide the team toward achieving our goals in the tournament" said in further statement.
