The victory marked Sylhet's first win in four matches, while Dhaka endured their sixth consecutive loss.
Batting first at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Dhaka posted 193 for six. After the early dismissal of Tanzid Hasan Tamim (6), Litton Das and Munim Shahriar formed a brilliant 129-run partnership—the highest-ever for any wicket in Dhaka's history.
Litton played a stunning knock of 73 off 43 balls, hitting 10 fours and one six, while Munim contributed 52 off 47 balls, including seven boundaries and one maximum. Sabbir Rahman added a quickfire 23 off 10 balls, with three sixes, and skipper Thisara Perera chipped in with an 18-run cameo off nine balls.
Rakheem Cornwall was the pick of the bowlers for Sylhet, taking three wickets.
Chasing 194, Sylhet lost both openers within the first two overs, but Zakir Hasan turned the tide with a blazing half-century. His 58 off 27 balls, featuring seven fours and three sixes, helped Sylhet race to 74 for three during the powerplay. Zakir also stitched a vital 46-run stand with Nahidul Islam.
Sylhet faced pressure at 109 for five in the 10th over but recovered through a 49-run partnership between Rony Talukdar (30 off 20) and Zakir Ali (24 off 17). Despite losing both batters in quick succession, Ariful Haque took charge in the death overs.
Ariful smashed 14 runs off Abu Jayed Rahi in the 18th over, including a six and two fours, to tilt the game in Sylhet's favor.
Zakir Hasan was named Player of the Match for his match-winning performance.
