Top-notch security in Karachi, says official

ICC security consultant Reg Dickason has revealed that he is
impressed with the level of security provided for the final of the Pakistan Super
League. Dickason believes that the presentation displayed to them about the security
issues was top-notch.
While Pakistan may have been hosting some games over the
last year, only Lahore has been the venue that got the approval from ICC,
with Karachi not yet getting the coveted clearance. This time, however,
Dickason’s encouraging words could be seen in a positive light.
"We would like to thank the PCB for providing us with
such a comprehensive, thorough and professional presentation," Dickason
said.

"It is very encouraging, and that will be reflected in
the upcoming report. We have some things we need to discuss, however, it's all
extremely positive. From what we've seen today, and what's been demonstrated,
and the documentation and the level of commitment by all concerned parties has
left me very, very satisfied."
He did, however, state that the final decision is not in his hands alone, but he also affirmed that a clearance for Karachi "would be a very positive step” and that “what we've seen today and in other parts of Pakistan is as good as I've seen in all my years."
