Sheikh Jamal win despite Shafiul's all-round efforts

It seems as though Soumya Sakar is on fire with the ball. The left-handed elegant batsman was given the ball by his captain Abdur Razzak and he didn’t disappoint. Despite getting hit for a six by Shykat Ali with his very first ball of his second over, he took his scalp in the next ball itself to complete a perfect revenge.
Winning the toss and fielding first, Agrani Bank took the wicket of Pinak Ghosh in the very first ball of the game. Shykat Ali, meanwhile, came in and batted aggressively. On the other end, Hasanuzzaman got out for 8 runs with the score at 36-2.
That didn’t stop Shykat Ali as he raced to 43 from 42 balls before Soumya Sarkar undid him. He was out caught and bowled. Al Amin Hossain and Shafiul Islam took the other two wickets.
After that, Elias Sunny and Digvijay Rangi put up a fine partnership to take the score to 150, before the latter was taken out by Abdur Razzak. The next wicket was of Elias Sunny, who soon fell at the hands of the rejuvenated Soumya Sarkar.
And that’s when the real carnage began.
Tanbir Haydar was the next to come in and put on a real show to score 71 from 48 balls. His innings tormented the Agrani Bank bowlers and helped his team post a score of 294 with the loss of 9 wickets. Ziaur Rahman’s 15 from 13 and Sohag Gazi’s 13 from 8 also played a vital role in putting up a mammoth total.
In the bowling department, Shafiul Islam took four wickets in his 10 overs but also gave away 68 runs. Al-Amin Hossain took a wicket but bled 76 runs in his 10 overs. Abdur Razzak was economical as he took two wickets while giving away 40 runs in his 10 overs.

Soumya Sarkar ended up with two wickets in his 9 overs and gave away 50 runs.
In response, the Agrani Bank openers got a good start but failed to capitalize on it. With 37 runs on board, Soumya Sarmka was the first to go after scoring 22 from 26 balls. Azmir Ahmed followed suit after making 15 from 33 balls.
A brief innings of 21 runs from Shahriar Nafees ended when Elias Sunny got him out. The same bowler got two more scalps in the match, including the important wicket of Dhiman Ghosh who stitched a 62-run stand with Rafatullah and contributed 48 runs to the total.
Rafatullah scored 43 runs before Ziaur Rahman sent him back to the hut. Salman Hossain and Jahid Javed scored 19 and 8 runs, respectively and were out by Sohag Gazi.
Agrani Bank skipper Abdur Razzak made 24 runs before Abu Jayed bagged his wicket. Shafiul Islam tried to put up a fight singlehandedly and clubbed 44 off 35 before Nazmul Hasan picked up the last wicket.
Sheikh Jamal won the match by 28 runs as Agrani Bank got all-out at 266 runs. They have now won both of their matches in this tournament so far and will take on Mohammedan Sporting Club in their next clash.
